    • Day 1

      Guests are met at the designated meeting point on Saturday at 1 pm and transferred to Verona. The check- in in hotel will be followed by a guided tour of the city centre that finishes by visiting the AMO (Arena MuseOpera), which introduces you to the art of the Opera through over 30 rooms.
      Let’s have our first Italian Dinner together at Amo Opera Restaurant and enter the Roman Arena to watch an Opera live!!!
      We chose for you the 2 best operas to be performed here: Carmen by Georges Bizet and Aida By Giuseppe
      After the show we will take you to the hotel to spend a night in Giulietta’s city and… have nice dreams full of music and arias!

    • Day 2

      Free time in the morning to relax or for wandering in Verona city centre, pick up at the hotel at 11.30 am and transfer to La Bella Vita. A Prosecco welcome gives you a chance to meet the crew, followed by lunch and a cruise along the Giudecca Canal were we admire some of the most famous monuments of Venice.
      Visit of the Doge’s Palace and dinner aboard, followed perhaps by an evening stroll to the magnificent St Mark’s square. We moor overnight in the Riva Sette Martiri by the Naval Museum.

    • Day 3

      Guided tour of Gran Teatro La Fenice, experiencing the unique atmosphere and the elegance of the most famous theatre in Venice rebuilt after the fire in 1996. After lunch on board, relax or wander. In the late afternoon we cruise along the Lido to Pellestrina, for a special walk or a bike tour at sunset.
      Dinner and overnight aboard.

    • Day 4

      Morning cruise to the very ancient city of Chioggia for a visit to the city centre admiring the Cathedral, Piazzetta Vigo and to the colourful fresh fish market. Transfer to Porto Levante before cruising on the River Po Passing through a nature reserve with flocks of flamingos and other wildlife, we travel upriver to Taglio di Po for dinner ashore hosted by the owners at the beautiful 17thC Villa Ca’ Zen, a private stately home by the river where Lord Byron courted the Countes Guiccioli and wrote some of his best poetry.
      Overnight on board.

    • Day 5

      Morning cruise leaving the Po River and entering the Canal Bianco to Adria for a walk to the city centre and the free visit of the Archaeological Museum. After lunch, we visit the magnificent Renaissance gardens and wine cellars of 17thC Villa Widmann-Borletti for a private tasting of their renowned estate grown vintages. This winery has been supplying Venetian society for centuries. Return to the barge, navigation to Bosaro and … are you ready for a musical surprise on board?

    • Day 6

      Morning excursion with guided tour of the Renaissance city of Ferrara, including a view of the 14thC Estense Castle with its moat, drawbridges, marble balconies and the visit of Teatro Comunale, very important opera house, and the very pretty Camerino delle Duchesse where the well-known “concerto delle donne” at the Estensi Court in 16° century developed . We also see the cathedral façade with its sculpted images described as an illustrated Bible. Return to the barge for an afternoon canal cruise past villages and farmsteads from Zelo to Governolo for dinner and overnight aboard.

    • Day 7

      Our final cruise takes us to Mantua with its captivating lakeside setting and visit to the 14th century Ducal Palace housing some 15 gardens and courtyards, a museum, basilica, theatre and some 500 rooms. Let’s find Rigoletto’s House, named for for the bronze statue of the court jester created by Giuseppe Verdi in the famous Opera. The melodrama, first performed in 1851 is set in Mantua at the time of Duke Vincenzo Gonzaga.
      Let’s finish the visit by admiring the Teatro Bibiena: it is the most beautiful example of a baroque theatre in Italy. This small jewel was honourably inaugurated in the year 1770 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

    • Day 8

      After breakfast passengers disembark for the transfer back to Venice.
