Isola Rossa - is an exquisite place in the north-west coast of Sardinia. This is a village in the north of Badesi close to Costa Paradiso. Isola Rossa village got its name from the red granite rocks on the coast. Translated from the Italian Isola Rossa means "Red Island".
The climate here is mild and humid, especially appreciated by people suffering from respiratory diseases. The temperature in October and November did not exceed 20'C, as well as in April, allowing people to take a break from the heat of intense solar season. It's a quiet period, and the prices are much lower than in the middle of the summer holidays, when the flow of tourists is very high.
Costa Paradiso is one of the most famous and popular recreation areas in Sardinia. The zone is ideal for a quiet family holiday, wishing to escape from the bustle of big cities and major tourist resorts, and for the noisy youth fun. The zone covers almost 800 hectares of coastline and mountainous terrain with rocks of unique shape. Red granite coast changes color in the sun, creating a perfect contrast to the white sandy beaches.
Beautifully decorated, the promenade gives Isola Rossa more charm. It opens in front of you a huge range of restaurants, cafes, bars, pizzerias and pastry. Shops and souvenir boutiques are open until long after dark.

Isola Rossa features many beautiful underwater caves of different depth and extent. Fishing enthusiasts will also be satisfied, the sea is rich for fish, which can be fairly large.
Very beautiful Valley of the Moon (la Valle della Luna) with its huge snow-white rocks. Be sure to visit Aggius, a small town in the mountains, attracts with its ancient architecture and crafts. Green forest surrounds Aggius, as if descended from a post-card.
You can enjoy Sardinian ballet performed by local dancers, or participate in one of the many ongoing events and presentations, telling about traditional Sardinian dishes and wines.
Some apartment hotels are located on the peninsula of red granite, and are surrounded by soft sand beach.
On the beaches you can rent surfboards, water catamarans, rubber boats and other equipment for water sports and recreation. You can rent a court for volleyball or tennis. In the evenings, Isola Rossa opens several night clubs with live music.
Isola Rossa can be used as an excellent base for exploring this part of the island. You can rent a car or bicycle, and view other parts of the island, Costa Paradiso, Castelsardo and Santa Teresa. Moreover, you can buy a guided tour: the archipelago of La Maddalena (Budelli - Spiaggia Rosa (pink beach), Spargi, Caprera), Porto Torres, the island of Asinara, visit Nuraghi and archaeological sites.
In Isola Rossa there are many archaeological and natural attractions, beaches, but the main thing is calm atmoshere.
