Lombardy is one the most important region of our country. It’s located in the north of Italy, in a strategical position between the mountains Alps and the Po River Valley .
The region is bordered on the north with Switzerland, on the west with Piemonte, on the east with the regions of Trentino Alto Adige and Veneto and on the south with Emilia-Romagna.
Often Lombardy has been considered as the region of Economy, Business and Trade, but it offers a lots of things also for Art, Culture and Leisure. Thanks to its several airports (Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, Brescia Montichiari and Bergamo Orio al Serio) a great connection to the whole north of Italy and to the Main European Airports is guaranteed.
In Lombardy there are 12 districts Milano , Brescia, Bergamo, Como , Lecco, Mantova, Cremona , Lodi, Pavia and Sondrio. The largest city and the most important in the whole region is Milano.
MILANO: the city of Business, Fashion and Nightlife; the city with the great example of Gothic Art, the Duomo; but also Medieval and Renaissance influences and important sightseeings as Cenacolo Vinciano together with the Santa Maria delle Grazie, Castello Sforzesco, Scala Theatre.
Worth of a visit: the Navigli, the most attractive area of the city full of little canals and full of nice restaurants and bars, have a promenade here and taste the classic aperitiv of Milano.
BRESCIA and BERGAMO, two cities always rivals but united from their own big and excellent cultural and artistic heritage; the first with Roman origin and Roman sightseeing and the other a pure example of Medieval city.

MANTOVA, the city that rises from the water of its 3 artificial Lakes of Mincio river, with its wonderful Palazzo Te. CREMONA with Medieval past, famous all over the world for its luthiers’ laboratories and gastronomic delicacies as Torrone, the typical nougat and the Cremonese Mustard.
And again LODI, PAVIA and SONDRIO, this last one famous for its mountain’s tourism both in Summer period as well during the Winter, thanks to Ski resorts as Bormio, Livigno, Santa Caterina Valfurva or Ponte di Legno, Valtellina, Tonale
Other characteristic landscape of the region is the Franciacorta, a long area of green hills, famous all over the world for its vineyards and production of good wines.
And of course, the charming atmosphere of the great lakes: on the western side of Lago di Garda, the breathtaking town of Sirmione and other well-known and very attractive tourist destinations as Desenzano and the elegant Salò. Also extremely picturesque lake is Lago Maggiore and Lago di Como , surrounded by aristocratic houses and charming gardens.
