Umbria

Umbria is the heart of Italy, since it’s located in the most central position of the whole country.

Many aspects characterized this region: Spirituality, Culture and Art, Nature and Gastronomy, come and discover Umbria.

A lot of cities and little towns, all worth a stop, a short visit, just a picture and a nice promenade long their old city center, narrow streets, admiring all the architectural  beauties that they can offer. Perugia with the Fontana Maggiore and San Lorenzo Cathedral  without forgetting the National Gallery Museum with works of Pinturicchio, Perugino, Duccio di Buoninsegna and Piero della Francesca and for gourmand people also the museum dedicated to the Chocolate, symbol of the city. But Umbria means also Todi, Foligno, Spello, Spoleto, Gubbio, Orvieto, Norcia and further more. These towns quite close one to each other offers to clients a real dip into the past: wonderful churches dated from Medieval times, untouched historical city center, steep streets that bring you to the top of the hills from which you can admire all the Umbrian landscape, and again towers and statues dedicated to important people as Jacopone da Todi, Pinturicchio, Santa Chiara or the most famous one:  San Francesco d’Assisi.

If you are in Umbria, do not forget to visit Assisi, the heart of the spirituality for Catholicism, listed as a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO, the city where San Francesco and Santa Chiara lived and begin their Spiritual trip.

But not only Art and Culture, also Nature with two wonderful locations: Trasimeno Lake and Marmore Falls, for lover of holidays en plein-air; a real and deep meeting with the Nature.

Near the lake a lot of little villages as Castiglione del Lago and Passignagno sul Trasimeno  will guest you with a big number of hotels, and nice promenades and excursions aroung the lake; Marmore Falls with its breathtaking views, will offer you the possibility to play Canoa and Kayak in its waters, without forgetting excursions for groups and family with children.

About the Gastronomy of the region, you have to taste all its typical dishes:  characterized of  Oil, Wine, Cheese, Legumes and Cereals soups, Meat and homemade Pasta, Truffles  and Cakes.

About  wines: Grechetto, Merlot, Sangiovese, Sagrantino of Montefalco, Malvasia.
