One of the symbols of Livorno is an old fortress built in ancient times. The fortress has survived up to the present day, but not in its original form, it was reconstructed in the XVI century by Florentine Antonio da Sangallo, since it was intact. However, visiting the castle, you can feel the spirit of the history of ancient times, thanks to the ruins of the round towers in 1103 and 1241 and, of course, amazing Pisa Area - the citadel, which was built by Puccio di Landicchio and Francesco di Giovanni.
