Dimaro is an Italian village located on the mountain in Val di Sole in Trentino Alto Adige (South Tyrol). Val di Sole is the ideal place for outdoor enthusiasts. Dimaro also owns small resort villages Folgarida and Carciato. Dimaro is characterized by several historical buildings as the Church of San Lorenzo forth century Palace of Duty and numerous stone fountains.
In the village Carciato you can find the ancient Church of San Giovanni Battista dated back to 1751.
Dimaro extends at about 776 m above sea level, on a plateau, in a sunny location near the River Noce and is situated in a beautiful natural environment of the National Park Adamello-Brenta. This unique park is characterized by sharp peaks.
The resort of Dimaro offers a variety of opportunities for leisure as the ski area Folgarida-Marilleva, with more than 50 km of ski slopes. The village Folgarida-Marilleva is a paradise for snowboarding and ski slopes lovers. In the Valley of Folgarida-Marilleva there are two stations associated with 26 modern and fast lifts. Its territory includes 34 ski slopes (19 easy, 10 medium and 5 complex) for a total of 62 kilometres. You will also have the opportunity to experience the thrill of night skiing, as floodlights at night.
From Dimaro you can reach in a few minutes the track Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta, thanks to modern cable-way Daolasa.
For those who loves cross-country skiing, Val di Sole offers 70 km of slopes.
Ski equipment can be rented as well as enrol in school skating. All this can be done on arrival at the departure station of Marilleva and Folgarida.
Even in summer there are numerous opportunities for entertainment, including mountain biking, rafting on the river Noce, mountain tours and much more. An important event is the mountain bike World Cup. Thanks to the places the train for bicycles "Dolomiti Express", you will be able to move comfortably with your two-wheeled transport for skiing in your favourite sights.
In this area, you can go rafting on inflatable boats specially designed to withstand harsh local river. The crew typically consists of 6 (min. 4 max. 7) passengers. Before leaving the instructor explains all the methods and techniques needed for rafting.
Dimaro is the typical quiet place for family holiday. Here you can enjoy local dishes in a refined and welcoming restaurants. Even in this cosy town there are several bars and pizzerias.
Thanks to the ski bus you can go in different regions, such as in Passo Tonale and Madonna di Campiglio.
