Cavalese is an Italian town of the Autonomous Province of Trento, as well as the administrative, cultural and historical heritage of Val di Fiemme. Located at 1,000 meters above sea level, the town of Cavalese, with its 4014 inhabitants is a tourist destination that attracts the world famous ski slopes in winter and in summer for its beautiful scenery and cultural activities.
It is surrounded by four zones, with cross-country skiing: Latemar, Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia, Passo Lavazè - Oclini and Alpe Cermis, where you can go with electronic badge ski pass. In this place is particularly pleasant to walk in a large park of Pieve, in the shade of the old lime trees. Here you can walk along the path Nordic walking, climbing pagoda spectacular views of the valley and the Lagorai up to the mountains of coral Pale di San Martino.

Ski slopes for all levels of riding. For cross-country skiers have a path length of 150 km. Special attention is paid not only to the families, but also to young guests realizing interesting activities for children designed for engagement and learning of skiing on snow designated areas for children.
In Cavalese an important attraction is the Church of San Vigilio. On a large gable of the main facade above the main entrance of the building, flaunts a mural depicting St. Anthony Longo charming San Vigilio. The church was consecrated in 1698. In the upper part of the city on Highway 48, along the extension of the Dolomites, there are many prestigious residences including the Palace of the Grand Community. Near the Palace of the Great community rises Torre Civica, the symbol of the city administration.
No less important is the oldest parish church, the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, surrounded by a large park "Parco della Pieve". In one corner of the park, at the foot of the old lime tree you can see the stone benches arranged in a circle around the stone table, so-called Tour of Reason - translated as "bench Mind", a place where the region Vicar Bishop of Trento periodically administer justice.
It is worth visiting the Centre for Contemporary Art, and not miss the old Bishop's Palace, place the Magnificent Community Fiemme painted beautiful frescoes.
