Brunico is an Italian medieval town located in the province of Bolzano in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige (South Tyrol). The Tyrolean Brunico takes his name by Bishop Bruno von Kirchberg, his founder. The city has preserved its medieval features.

With more than 100 kilometers of ski slopes for all ski levels and 31 modern lifts, Kronplatz, with its highest point is located at an altitude of 2275 meters and a vertical drop of 1370 meters, is one of the best destination for the most demanding skiers and snowboarders. For those sun lovers there are plenty of things to do but the best is skating on the long descent to the valley.
With its 100% snowmaking, Plan de Corones guarantees high quality and safety on the slopes, many special places for children as the smallest offer Kindergarden to have fun in the snow. Moreover, there is a very good ski school with professional instructors teaching all types of snowboarding and skiing.
Plan de Corones is one of the few places in the Alps in winter, 5 black runs, Sylvester , Hernegg, Pré da Peres, Erta and Piculin. The longest black runs are Sylvester, which is 4950 meters and Hernegg more than 5100 meters. The snow park is huge and covers about 58000 square meters of the slopes which ensure the maximum adrenaline.
In Brunico, the is also a mini club Croniworld ski school, where children can have fun and discover the little pleasure in the snow. In the surrounding area of the mini club you can enjoy an amusement park, restaurant for children, inflatable slides, track for children, a games room and all kinds of toys. There is also a path length about 65 km for sledding lovers, while cross-country skiers can enjoy a track which cover a length of nearly 200 kilometres.

In a surface which cover an area of about 800 square meters divided into four floors, offers sports brands of mining equipment and expert sales consultants themselves big fans of mountain sports. After visiting this shop, take the opportunity to discover also the ICE BEAR IGLOO. This ice cave, give you the opportunity to verify the quality of winter equipment in a unique environment. Here you can also find a gallery of wooden figures showing famous climbers in full growth, among which we can see the figures that represent Friedl Mutschlechner and Christoph Hainz.
Among the attractions of the city we can find the castle built in 1251 by Bishop Bruno. The castle was completely renovated in 1900. We recommend also to visit the old church in the baroque style known as the Church of the Holy Spirit, the Assumption Church and the St. Catherine Basilica.
